This Privacy Notice covers the processing of information by which you as a particular natural person can be identified or are identifiable (‘Personal Data’) by any Bühler entity in all business areas as well as our joint controller (as defined hereinafter) in connection with the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect.

1) Who is processing my Personal Data?

Bühler AG as event organizer (“Bühler”) and cueconcept GmbH as designer of the digital room and solution (“cueconcept”) act as joint controller while processing your Personal Data for the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect (Bühler and cueconcept together “We / Us”). In accordance with this Privacy Notice, Bühler may also transfer your Personal Data to another Bühler entity or to third parties (this may also include public authorities) so that these recipients can process personal data for their own or our purposes. Other Bühler entities or third parties are obliged to process the Personal Data exclusively on Bühler’s behalf and according to Bühler’s instructions.
Additionally We may disclose your Personal Data to other recipients if this is so required by law. We also reserve the right to share your Personal Data in accordance with a court order or to assert or defend legal claims or if We consider it necessary for other legal reasons.
The recipients of your Personal Data may be located abroad, including in countries outside of the EU or the European Economic Area. 2) What kind of Personal Data is processed?

We process Personal Data such as business contact details (name, position, business e-mail address, business telephone number and department), your business function, customer relation information (such as interest in our products and services) and your participation at the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect. We process this information for the purpose of carrying out trade fairs, for our customer relationship management, and business development with you and/or the company you work for.

3) From what sources & for what purpose do you process my Personal Data?

The sources of your Personal Data can be you and/or your Colleagues if We follow-up with you or your employer. The provision of your Personal Data is voluntary. This means that you are not obliged to provide your Personal Data to us. Nevertheless, if you do not provide your Personal Data to Us, We might not be able to communicate with you and may potentially not be able to proceed with our business relationship.
During the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect We may take audio-visual recordings (“Recordings”) of the sessions as such, whereby it is possible that you are recognizable on any such Recordings. Any Recording will be used by Us or our auxiliary persons in printed or electronic form as well as on the internet for the documentation of the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect as well as to promote further products or services of Bühler. We inform you that We will not modify the Recordings in such a way that from a third party’s perspective they appear factually unfounded or misleading. Should you wish not to be visible on any Recording We ask you to explicitly inform Us about your request in writing.

4) How and on what legal grounds is Bühler processing my Personal Data?

Processing describes any operation or set of operation which is performed on Personal Data (such as collecting, storing, restraining, organizing, administering, adapting, retrieving, consulting, using, applying, disclosing, combining, restricting, deleting, destructing or transferring).
While processing your Personal Data Bühler does not make any automated decisions solely on automatic processing, including profiling, which would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. Bühler safeguards the security of your Personal Data and protects it against unauthorised or unlawful processing, prevents the risk of loss, unintentional alteration, unintentional disclosure, or unauthorised access by appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
The processing of Personal Data is justified as it is either necessary for the performance of a contract or Bühler’s legitimate interest in accordance with the acceptable legal ground according the applicable law.

5) How and on what legal grounds is cueconcept processing my Personal Data and how is the responsibility between the controllers split?

cueconcept’s processing of your Personal Data is limited to provide and support your registration to the Bühler one-to-one sessions via cuenect. While processing your Personal Data cueconcept does not make any automated decisions solely on automatic processing, including profiling, which would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. cueconcept safeguards the security of your Personal Data and protect it against unauthorised or unlawful processing, prevents the risk of loss, unintentional alteration, unintentional disclosure or unauthorised access by appropriate technical and organizational security measures. The processing of Personal Data is justified as it is necessary for the performance of a contract.
Bühler and cueconcept have concluded a Joint Controller contract to record which controller assumes which legal obligation. You might contact either of Us should you wish to receive further information.

For how long will my Personal Data be stored?

We retain your Personal Data no longer than it is necessary for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Notice. Moreover We retain Personal Data as long as We have a legitimate interest in the storage, for archiving purposes, and for guaranteeing IT security or in the case of running statutes of limitations (often 10 years, in some cases 5 years or 1 year). We also retain your Personal Data as long as it is subject to a legal retention obligation.

7) What are my rights with regard to my Personal Data?

You have the right to assert any of your right against either controller, whereby you have especially the right to request:

To the extent our processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent, without affecting the lawfulness of our processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.
